MISSION

Our initial focus is cancer treatment, in which localized chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic agents are delivered via the Sinnais implantable pump technology with real-time physiological feedback from cancer cells, as detected via biomarker sensing technologies such as spectrophotometry and related fluidic analysis methods.

To tailor the treatment, we must take in to account pharmacokinetic parameters such as bio-elimination and bio-absorption of the medicating agents (be it chemotherapeutic or biologic); additional parameters such as patient body mass, age, disease state, and genetic makeup are essential in defining optimally personalized treatment. To that extent, Cognos has developed Sinnais to address the intricacy of the tailoring of individual treatment by controlling each and every one of these parameters in a preprogrammed fashion in response to a patient’s needs.
